Alignment

Thursday took the car in to sort out the geometry after the overhaul of the under-carriage and boy were we out; rear camber had been sitting on -4.27 degrees, not to mention the ridiculous toe figures. The boys down at Tim's tyres gave me full access to their top end alignment machine and within less than 30 minutes, dialed in the following settings;

Front camber -2.62 degrees
Front castor - 7.0 degrees
Front toe - 1.0mm
Rear camber - 1.62 degrees
Rear toe - 1.0mm

The car has a much better stance as it is now and feels much more responsive through cornering and what not. The fitment is as i expected with wheel specs at 17 x 9 +17 all round. Here's some pics as she stands;

Preparation

Getting the car ready for Winton on the 17th; front pipe was re-fabbed after bending the last one due to scrapage, bolted the cage down, setup gauges and general tidy up. Needs a few more nitty-gritty's but most importantly, an alignment.

Got busy reppin' my homie Arch from sokudostyle (http://sokudostyle.wordpress.com/) who'll be taking care of the graphics, with an old school Garage Sokudo stamp. Now that i think about it, should've stuck 'em on the quarter windows! Ahh well

More updates to come. Stay cool.

busy++

Been super busy with uni and the boys have been working OT on customers cars so updates have stalled.. Just quickly, Bill's car finally got cranking and boy does she sound tough.. We'll try jimmy up a clip and upload it. For now, some super quick snaps; quality isn't the best but i promise to bring you HD photos very soon :)

Set

Fit up the kit today, end result is super.. Needs to go in for an alignment and possibly a little more low; also decided against the roof spoiler (for now). Need Hi-res pics, for now, enjoy!

Almost there

Last night stayed back with the brother and rubbed down the kit while he was busy neatening up the cabin wiring.. Bill got bored and figured he'd sit the wheels on, coils aren't in as yet and won't be until she's all kitted up.

Things to do before Winton this month;
  • Bolt in cage
  • Complete interior
  • Rear parcel shelf/cabin sheetmetal
  • Fit bodykit
  • Fit coils
  • Wheel alignment
  • Oil changes
  • Test thrash
Kit should be on by the end of this week, will get some hi-res pictures to do some justice. Stay fresh!

White

Sunday morning at 9am we opened the workshop doors to put some color down on the s15.. did some last minute masking and preparation before she was in the oven waiting for paint;

After a few hours in the oven, Sunny the painter added his typical touch and gave her a fresh look; baked her a little then fit the tails.. Tomorrow all the panels will be bolted up then onto painting the kit including the spoilers.

More updates to come!

Spoilt'

Quick update - power levels hit 299.8 Kw @ 20.8 psi, couldn't stretch it out due to standard cam gears; nonetheless, car is super healthy and ready to steam on. Big thanks to Trent at Chequered Tuning for an awesome job with the tune, hope you have a safe and awesome trip up in the states!

Didn't get a chance to log any clips however should be a fair few floating about just after the 31st :) In the meantime, snapped up a Supermade bootwing and a Dmax roof wing; test fit and sits well. Sunday morning should see some paint and then onto the sticker design (or lack of?)

Unfortunately Bill's car will be sitting out this coming Winton due to not being able to finish the car in time.
